Check out this little video. I built that montage of pics from last week's trip to Sonoma by using the One True Media widget. It took me about five minutes. If I can do it, so can you. Neat little feature.
Who are among The Sisterhood of the Traveling Laptops? This trip my "sisters" were Suz and Erin. We attended an online community conference run by ForumOne, which was held in Sonoma. Along the way there and back to San Francisco, we all snapped pictures. We couldn't help it. The rides to and from the conference each day were filled with interesting sites... hot air balloons, the ubiquitous vineyards and wineries, and a dirt devil or dust spout we happened upon.
I should let you know that the other two members of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Laptops are very proficient photographers. For instance, Suz can drive a car, steer with her right hand, reach her left arm out of the driver's window, rest her arm on the roof and shoot away with amazing results (check these out) while I work hard to get what I'm trying to capture somewhere in the final photograph.
I actually captured the ends of my hair (which was standing straight up given the wind at the Golden Gate Bridge) set against the clear blue sky. At least, I think that's what the picture contains... who knows what it is if it isn't the tips of my bangs.
I did get a few neat pictures that I liked. I have a new camera and after asking the ever patient Erin 1001 questions about what the icons on my display meant, I decided I should read the manual. Maybe someday.
Though we spent most of the time we were not at the conference in our rooms, trying to keep up with work, we managed a lovely and relaxing dinner in Napa on our last night.
Friday afternoon we headed back to San Francisco. It was the beginning of Fleet Week in San Francisco, so while parking at Fisherman's Wharf, where we planned to have a quick lunch before retreating to the hotel, the Blue Angels entertained us with the rehearsal for their air show scheduled for the next day. It was amazing.
Anyway, I'm back. I'm behind on everything. So, what's new?
